Other activities they have un­ dertaken include a Christmas bazaar, two musical concerts, and "Dunk a Cop" held during Fiesta days. In addition, members have assisted area children and civic organizations through fund raising and donations. Proceeds from these events have provided a $1,000 scholarship given annually to an area youth, and an annual donation of sports equipment to the city's Park and Recreation department. The money has help to sponsor a Junior Pigtail team and an area adult bowling team. In the Junior Bowling league for sixth, seventh and eighth graders, the association's contribution has made it possible for all participants to receive a le^2>ue tropy plus individual achievement trophies and patches and enjoy a banquet at the end of the season. All county and state tour­ naments, including travel expenses, are paid by the association. An annual donation is made to the McHenry Area Rescue squad, and the association has contributed to various area memorial and trust funds. The village children's Christmas party will take place Saturday, Dec. 11, frbm 1 through 3 p.m. at the beach house. Each Beach Gal is asked to bring two dozen cookies to the party. BIRTHDAY PARTY Jeffrey Lawson celebrated his fourth birthday with a party on Monday, Oct. 25. Peanut butter and jelly and bologna and cheese sand­ wiches were served in the dining room to Tom and Tony Olson, Todd and Ashlie Lasco, Tommy Farrell, Wade and Allan Loewe, Jennifer Mazur and Jeffs two cousins.
