Registration will begin at noon, with the actual play beginning at 1 p.m. This event is open to the public not just American Legion members. „ Another event coming up is the" "Rotten Ray Reynolds Appreciation Night" and potluck dinner. That will be held Friday, Jan. 14, also at the post home. RESCUE FIFTY RIDE In order to raise money for bofh the Co. 1 and Co. 2 Wonder Lake Rescue Squads, the Lakers Snowmobile dub will be participating in a fifty-mile ride. Members have all received their pledge cards and will be out seeking pledges for how many miles they believe the members will be able to go. The ride will take place on Sunday, Jan. 23 (provided the snows arrive!) On Saturday, Jan. 22, members will be on some of the street corenrs also, collecting money in containers to be turned over to the rescue squads. They wjll be out from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. CANDY DEMONSTRATION ^ The first meeting of "1983 for the Woman's Club of Wonder Lake will be held Thursday, Jan. 20, at 8 p.m., in the Nativity Lutheran church hall. After the business meeting, a candy demonstration will be given by a local candy company. ~ Hostesses for the evening, who will be supplying all the tasty desserts, will be Joann Firnbach, Nikki Crawfbrd, Marge Dugan, JoAnn Gran, Grace Smith, and Harriet Fournier. Now that the holidays are over and the long winter months lie ahead, members of the Woman's club would be more than happy if you stop in for one of their meetings and possibly decide to join their organization.
