They had games with their co-leader led off for the Warriors and at KoienO lost a few yards in his mile run, and the Warriors were in second place by about live yards when Chris Creutz took the baton. The Woodstock meet is always an interesting meet as generally a couple Rockford schools compete, and the local teams know what they have to compete against at the Rockford District later this month. Mike Shanahan's Water Polo team qualified for the state meet this week, but the popular coach was not happpy with the draw. The Warriors meet the tourney favorite, St. Viator in the opening game. The Warriors have lost to die Arlington Heights school twice this season, but have defeated every other team in the tourney with the exception of St. Charles. Here is hoping for an upset for the Warriors. ******* Several years ago Bill Day and I went to White Sox Park for a doubleheader. Little did we know it was "Disco Night".
