A few weeks ago they enjoyed an outing to a local pizza parlor where they devoured plenty of pizza and pop. Each girl put 25 cents into the jukebox to play their favorite songs for everyone's enjoyment. On April 27, they hosted the third grade Brownies from two local troops. First of all, they made cards for their leaders in honor of Girl Scout leaders day last Friday. They all made fuzzy headed pencils and taught them lots of songs and a dance. The younger girls were also tqld about badges and work they do when they join a Girl Scout troop next year. Wednesday, May 4, was their Court of Awards night, where the girls got badges and pins for the year and prizes for selling cookies. Everyone said their thanks to leaders Pat Barnes and Trish Eiserman who are leaving after five years of service. They also presented flowers to moms who drove for their many trips. Cake, coffee and pop were the refreshments served to everyone who attended. The girls planned the whole program themselves and each wore, a pretty yellow corsage for the evening. Cadet Troop 41 made book marks at last week's meeting and are donating them to the McHenry library. They are now saving money for a horseback riding party.
