In 1982, the group awarded over $3,000 in scholarships, and this year will ex pand the number of recipients, in cluding graduating high school students, adults returning to school, and scholarship renewals. Chairman Clark said, "We are pleased to have such an outstanding group as the Aeterna Brass for our gala concert night, because theypresent a diverse program that is entertaining for music lovers and those who may be attending their first such event. The Woodstock Opera House is the perfect setting, and will allow for enough room for the audience to meet the artists after the concert and enjoy some refresh ments." The Aeterna Brass was formed in 1978, and takes special pride in being the recipient of the 1980 Downbeat Magazine "Excellence in Chamber Music" award. In 1982, the Aeterna Brass was featured live, on WFMT, from the Chicago Public Library Cultural center as part of the noteworthy Dame, Myra Hess Membri&f Concert series. Fortunately, with today's modern equipment, Blue Mondays are gone forever and any day is a good day. to easily handle the laundry. According to home economists there are ways to make the laundry process even faster and more con venient. They suggest: Mend tears before doing the wash. Tears can become larger in the washing process, making repairs more difficult and time consuming. Pretreat stains and spots before laundering. Stains allowed to set become more difficult to remove. Or, batch-treat a full load by using the Soak-Pre-soak cycle on the washer. This method eliminates pre-treating each item individually. Store laundry products overhead to eliminate stooping and to keep them safely out of children's reach. Include a counter or table nearby the washing area for sorting, pretreating, folding, etc. Put socks and small items in mesh bag for easier and quicker removal from washer.
