MCCULLOM LAKE Down Milter 385-4901 Visitors Here From Arizona Jake and Evelyn Levesque came back to Illinois recently for a family reunion and the Republican Golf day. The family party was at Jeff and Mary Levesque's. Daughter Dee and husband Steve Trotter and their three children, daughter and Major Chris, John, Eileen, Patti and Tim Klap- perich, Audrye Bye and Elma and Earl Nelson were in attendance for the festivities and Mary's good cooking. Jake and Eve left Arizona 2:30 a.m. on the morning of June 24. They traveled 450 miles per day through the states of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee. They dined at a beautiful sea specialty restaurant and then on through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, Connecticut and on to relatives in Massachusetts. Jake said, "What a beautiful country we have!" His wish was that all could be as privileged to see as much of it as he and Eve were. They also sent their love to McCullom Lake. As many of you may remember, Jake was the first president of the village, and Eve wrote this column for many years. We wish them a safe trip home to humidity free Arizona. THE RUNNER Mitch Kopczyk, son of A1 and Lottie, ran the 12.4 mile Chicago Distance Classic Sunday, July 10. Mitch came in sixtieth out of 4,500 plus entrants. He finished with a time of 1 hr. 11 min. U sec. Good running Mitch! BOARD MEETING There was a village board meeting Tuesday evening, July 12. The meeting was held in the bigger building because of the work being done in the small room. The washroom floors have been raised and hopefully, they will not flood anymore. Our village treasurer would like to resign. If anyone is interested in the position, please contact the clerk. The second board meeting of this month was held July 19, so there will be no meeting July 26. This change took place because the president and one of the trustees were unavailable for the later date. Now, there will not be a board meeting until Aug. 9. CLERK'S HOURS Village office hours are on Wed nesdays from 2 through 6:30 p.m. If this day is inconvenient for you, please call 385-2211 to make other arrangements. The clerk's office is closed mi Sundays and legal holidays. Just a reminder, your boat must display a boat sticker.tf you plan on launching it off the snore. Boat stickers are sold to residents only. The cost is $3 for the first year and $1 for every year thereafter. Also, if you have guests going to the beach, be sure to let them use your park and beach guest pass. Without a village vehicle sticker or a guest pass, a ticket may be used.
