Auditions for the award winning musical of contrasting values in the life of pre-war Germany will be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 8 and 9, at the Woodstock Opera Houses 121 Van Buren street, Woodstock from 7 until 10 p.m. Ten women and nine men will be cast. Those auditioning are required to read, sing, and dance. Frank Harrison, president, and his wile, Sharon, co-founder of Woodstock Musical Theatre Company (WMTC), will return to the director's chair for Cabaret. Harrison was singled out for an excellent job directing Stephen Sondheim's Company for WMTC in 1961. Producer for Godspell in 1983, Harrison continues to be involved in every area of community theatre. Musical director will be Robert Sutter of Glen view. Sutter has his Master's: degree in voice and choral from DePaul university, and has enjoyed directing the music for i major shows, including My Lady, Camelot, and Carousel. Darlene Bass, a Chicagoan who studied dance for many years in California, will choreograph Cabaret. Ms. Bass has an impressive resume of performance and direction.
