Anyone eight to 19 years of age will be able to compete in the quasi-rodeo com­ petitions Sunday, Aug. 7, at 1 pjtn. There will be no charge to compete. Total of $4200 Harness' racers vie for money over two days WOODSTOCK -- Harness racing is a two-day feature at the McHenry County Fair. A total of $4,200 in prize money will be of­ fered Aug. 3-4. Non-winners ($500) will pace in the Wednesday event for Illinois- bred-and-foaled-two- and three-year-old animals. A free-for-all trot for Illinois-bred horses will follow. On Thursday, Aug. 4, pace for non- winners ($2,500) will be followed by a free- for-all pace. Post time both days will be 1:30 p.m. The final event is anew feature begun a couple years ago to encourage McHenry County entries -- the McHenry County pace for non-winners ($10,000 lifetime).
