Built with windows so the public can watch as the cows are milked, the milking parior has been developed and equipped through the cooperation of many in­ dividuals and organizations. Nearly &000 in prize money is being of­ fered* Chairman John Crowden said, as he announced plans for the expanded pro­ gram. The corral has a lighted arena to handle the evening events. A total of 36 Classes is listed under tbe halter, performance and speed categories. Trophies and six ribbons will be offered in all classes. Clerks for the Open Horse Show will be Norma Luedtke, Kirsten Crowden, Linda - Vetter and Betty Thiede. Appropriate Western or English attire is worn in all classes in keeping with the atmosphere of the Open Horse Show. First prize is $20. Crowden said one of the crowfcpleasing events ia the open cait dass. Another is the Open English Pleasure Hunt aeat class. The six speed classes wind up the day­ long activity, starting at 5 pjn. They In­ clude flag race, barrel race, key hole, speed and action* pole bending and Scudda-Ho. A Junior Horse Show will be held on Sun­ day, Aug. 7, starting at 9 a.m. This is presented by the McHenry County Saddle Club, which is headed By Larry Rice of Woodstock. This activity includes 25 classes for par­ ticipants age 18 years and younger. Includ­ ed are showmanship classes, English equitation and Western horsemanship and Western pleasure classes.
