KEITH WILKINS MARRIED IN MC HENRY - The grandson of a Wonder Lake couple brought his bride to McHenry for the exchange of wedding vows July IS, in Faith Presbyterian church. The bride, Christine Parent, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parent of Middleborough, Mass. The bridegroom, Keith Wilk ins, is the son of Sharon Sells Rice and Dr. Donald H. Wilkins, both of New York state. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sells. Among those present at the ceremony were Melinda Wilkins Hunkins and her husband David, of Springfield, Mass., who were celebrating their first year of marriage. Officiating at the service was the Reverend Patricia Lundlers of McHenry; and the reception was held at the Sells residence. The bridegroom is a doctoral candidate in chemistry at the University of Illinois, Urban a, but will transfer to the University of Texas this month, along with the other doctoral students of Dr. Faulkner, their adviser, who has taken a position with that university in Austin, Tex. The newlyweds, presently on a trip to the East to visit friends and relatives, will make their home in Austin until next Spring when the bridegroom will receive his doctorate. A reception for 140 guests was held at La Cumbre Country Club, Hope Ranch, Calif. Following a wedding trip up the western coast to San Francisco, the newlyweds will reside in San Diego, Calif. The bride attended high school in California and the groom is a graduate of McHenry Community high school. They both received a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy at Chicago Medical school and are currently employed in their chosen profession. Johnson-Lethem Repeat Vows *It was during a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony. July 30, in the First United Methodist church of McHenry that the former Cheryl Ann Johnson and David Scott Let hem repeated their wedding vows before Pastor Thomas Lowery. A large spray of silk roses decorated each side of the altar and baskets of silk daisies and gladioli flanked the sides of the communion rails. Appropriate music, including "Sunrise. Sunset" and the "Wedding Prayer" was offered by Dan Bunting, Curt Tauke and Caren Schwerdtfeger, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Lynn Sobczak. The bride is the daughter of Carol and John Johnson, 3709 W. High street, McHenry. Ruth and Ron Lethem of Prairie Du Chien, Wis. are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride wore a white, floor length gown designed with a Victorian bodice, accented with a cameo yoke, and trimmed with satin ribbon; long sleeves cuffed in lace; and a three- tiered lace skirt. She carried an old fashion round bouquet of silk white camellias and pink roses, trimmed with lace. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Miss Shellie Wilson of Ryan, la. Bridesmaids were Miss Susan Hutchinson of McHenry, Miss Susan Johnson of Waukesha, Wis. and Miss Tammie Johnson of Chicago. They wore rose, floor length, accordian pleated taffeta dresses, complemented with matching lace jackets. Their flowers were old fashion nosegays of rose colored silk roses and pink carnations. The flower girls were nieces of the groom, Annie Lethem and Jessie Schram. The best man was Rick Lethem of Iowa and groomsmen were Dennis McCubbin of Texas, Dean Bunting of Manchester, la. and Brian McLane. Mike Hadtrath, Mike Borrett and Ron Rowland served as ushers. The mother of the bride was attired in a pale pink linen suit, accented with a high-neck, long sleeved white-on- white blouse. A rose, long sleeved silk dress with lace trim was the choice of the groom's mother. One hundred friends and relatives toasted' the newlyweds at a dinner reception held at the McHenry Country Club. All of the silk flowers for this memorable day were handmade by the mother of the bride. Upon returning from their honeymoon at Interlochen on Lake Como, Wis., the couple will make their home in Mauston, Wis. The new Mrs. Lethem graduated in July, 1983 from the University of Dubuque, with a degree in Business and Marketing. Her husband is presently employed as a salesman for Thorpe Finance Co. in Mauston. They met at the University of Dubuque, where he acquired a teaching degree in High School History. Two floral arrangements in shades of blue and white decorated the altar; and ap propriate musical selections were performed by soloist Peter Bender, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Lynn Sobczak. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Fuller, 5112B W. Thornwood drive, McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. James D. Henley, 69 E. Medill, Northlake, 111., are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride was gowned for the oc casion in a floor length dress of white eyelet, featuring a sweetheart neckline and puffed sleeves; enhanced with lace and ribbon bows, and embroidered with blue flowers. The hemline and sleeves were highlighted with ruffles. The waist length veil was secured to a halo of white silk flowers, accented with white ribbon. She carried a bouquet of white daisies, blue carnations, yellow roses, baby's breath and trailing greens. Serving as matron and maid of honor respectively were Mrs. Ruth Ann Lieb and Kathy Arnold, both of McHenry. Bridesmaids were Debbie Maris of McHenry, and a cousin of the bride, Cindy Ford of Stamford, Conn. Attendants were attired in gowns of their own creation, echoing the style of the bride's dress. The matron of honor was in a blue cotton fabric printed with white flowers and trimmed with white ribbon. The hiaid of honor and bridesmaids were in a white cotton fabric printed with blue flowers and trimmed with white ribbon. The groom's sister, Mary Henley of Northlake was the flower girl. She wore a floor length dress of blue cotton fabric, printed with white flowers, designed with a square neck, ruffled sleeves and hemline. Ray Ball of Wheeling, 111. handled the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Don Pellikan of Grafton, 111. and brothers of the groom, Kent and Aaron Henley of Northlake. The groom wore a white tuxedo and the groomsmen's tuxedos were silver. The mother of the bride chose a blue crepe, steet length dress with a V- neck, long sleeves and cummerbund encircling the waist. A mauve, filmy dress with a wide V-neck and long sleeves was selected by the groom's mother. Following the nuptials, a reception for 125 guests was held at the Holiday Inn, Elgin, 111. Many guests had traveled a distance to attend the festivities, including the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Florida and Minnesota. The couple both attended the University of Illinois, Champaign. She graduated in May of 1983 and is em ployed as an elementary music teacher for Elgin School District U-46. He graduated in December of 1982 and is presently a student at Garrett- Evangelical Theological Seminary. They are residing in Elgin.
