Serving will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until the ice cream is gone. Plan now for a drive to Greenwood that evening and enj home-baked pies and cakes topped with ice cream. Sunday, Sept. 11, the United Methodist Youth (U.M.Y.) of Greenwood-Ringwood parishes will sponsor a family picnic at Petersen park. This will be a noon meal with the youth furnishing the meat and beverage. Each family is asked to bring a dish-to-pass and their own table service. The last meeting of church school for the summer session will be held Sunday, Aug. 14. The first meeting of children for the fall session will be Sunday, Sept. 11. SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT Thirty-two teams will be par­ ticipating in the softball tournament sponsored by the Rusty Nail softball team this weekend, Aug. 5, 6, and 7. The two local Ringwood teams will be participating and we wish them well. The tournament will Be held at Knox park in McHenry, with games starting Friday night at 6:30 and Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Food and beverages will be available at the park and we invite you out for some great ball playing. BEATTY GRANDCHILDREN REUNION The children and grandchildren of Emily Beatty always got together the last Sunday of July, to celebrate Grandma Beatty's birthday. This year the grandchildren gathered at the home of Del and Donna Olsen, in Richmond, for a reunion picnic. There are 14 Beatty grandchildren and 11 of them, and their spouses were present to get re-acquainted, "Remember- TWO FOR ONE SPECIAL AT OUR DRIVING RANGE When" and look over picture albums that Alice Mae brought. Those attending were, Herb and Marylin Frey; Jean (Frey) and Clarence Dalke; Charles and Millie Olsen; Del and Donna Olsen; Alice Mae (Low) and Walt Wilcox; Robert and Susan Low; Walt and Doris Low; Roland and Vivian Jackson; Gwen­ dolyn (Jackson) and Bill Montyane; Genevieve (Jackson) and Tag Van Every; and Donald and Carol Jackson. A good time was had by all and there were several recipes exchanged by the gals as there were some really delicious dishes for all to enjoy.
