IM3 32 Teams Entered In Rusty Nail Nine area teams will do first round battle today in the annual Rusty Nail 12 Inch Softball Tournament at Knox Park. Eighteen McHenry area teams are entered in the-32-team classic, with ball club6 representing every league in McHenry, plus squads hailing from Woodstock, Cary, Algonquin, Elgin, St. Charles, Schaumburg, Mt. Prospect, Rolling Meadows and Chicago. Tournament favorites include last year's champs, Mt. Prospect's Plympic Torch Sports (The Jokers) ana the runner-up, McHenry's Fox Hole Tap. Other top clubs will be the host team, the Rusty Nail Inn, plus the West End Pub, also of McHenry. Games will commence at 6:30 p.m. Friday with five games scheduled. On Saturday, the remaining first round games will continue starting at 9 a.m. Second round winners and losers brackets will complete Saturday eveninig's schedule. The tournament will end Sunday with quarter finals, semi-finals and finals. Oak Park Clinches First Oak Park has clinched first place in the women's Tuesday night soft ball league by defeating Sullivan's Foods 11-1. Oak Park jumped out in front with five runs in the first inning with the big hits coming from Judy Wiley, Gina Jerberg and Kim Weber. In the second inning, Oak Park added three runs on a two-run double by Sandy Rohrer and a RBI hit from Clnd> Holtdorf. Oak Park was led by Rohrer who went three-for-three a two RBI's and two runs scored. Judy Wiley and Kim Weber each added two hits and Meg Redshaw added two RBI's. Nancy Glick ended the season as the only undefeated pitcher in the league going 11-0. Old Bridge 13 Greg's Never Inn 7 Old Bridge was held scoreless by Greg's Never Inn until the fourth inning. Seven base hits, including a homerun by Ann Larkin in the bottom of the fourth started Old Bridge's winning rally. Connie Sanders and winning pitcher Chris Ludwig had triples. Kathy Dolezal was three-for-five. Patti Haag was three- -for-four and Ann Larkin was four-for-four. Ed's Rental 14 Fritzsches 2 Ed's Rental came out hitting and ready to run Tuesday night and walked away with a win over Fritz­ sches in five innings. Fritzsches had two runs in the first inning to Ed's one, but the rest of the game was strictly Ed's.
