Newly Married Parsons Spend Honeymoon At Arkansas Resort MR. AND MRS. They were married on that date in 1933, in Chicago during a nuptial ceremony performed by Mr. Conrad's uncle, the Right Reverend Monsignor Theo. Chastka, pastor of St. Wenceslaus church. The Conrads renewed their marriage vows at an Anniversary Mass officiated by the Reverend Stanley Ryzner, at the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. The happy couple was Messed with three daughters: Claudette Carroll of McHenry; Kathleen Fath of Des Plaines; and Mrs. Steve (Cynthia) Ribarits of Hoffman Estates; and 13 grandchildren. Mr. Conrad's entire business career was in the field of com munications and at the time of Us retirement 16 years ago, he was regional sales manager of Western Union in Chicago. He is also a past president of the McHenry Senior Citizens club. * Following their marriage Sunday, Aug. 21, the new Mr. and Mrs. Michael Robert Parsons left for Peel, AR, where they spent their honeymoon at the Triple-K Resort. The bride is the former Darlette Mary Freund, 821 Prospect St., Elgin, IL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard M Freund, 3808 N. Rich mond Rd., McHenry. Mrs. Ellen Parsons, 1017 Center St., Elgin and the late Arthur Parsons, Sr. are the parents of the bridegroom. Dr. Rogers and the Reverend Michael Binsfield of St. Mary's church, Elgin, officiated at the 2 p.m. nuptials in a setting of 15 lighted candles, at the First United Methocfist Church, Elgin. Special music was sung by the bride's cousin, Mrs. JoAnn Sobib. The bride was gowned for the occasion in an off-white satin wedkfing dress which was all hand sewn by her friend, Mrs. Sandra Harris of Elgin. The bride wore a floor length satin gown with satin organza over the skirt and lace covering the bodice, which featured a Queen Anne collar, sweetheart neckline and long sleeves of lace. The baek was finished with satin covered buttons; and the hemline of the skirt, which swept into a cathedral train, was edged with Galloon lace. The creation was hand made by her mother. A string of pearls graced her neck and she carried her grandmother's communion prayer book from 1913 and a rosary made of the roses from her grandfather's casket. A reception for 400 guests was held at the Starlight bin, Schiller Park, IL. This memorable occasion took place on the same date as the bir thdays of the bride and her younger sister JoAnne. When the newlyweds return from their eight-day honeymoon in Door County, WI and Mackinac Island, MI, they will make their home in Chicago. The bride attended Wauconda High School and the College of Lake County ; and is a property supervisor for ColdweU Bauer Relocation, Rolling Meadows, IL. The mother of the bride selected a pale orchid polyester dress with a pleated sldrt and plain bodice with a cape effect. The groom's mother chose a white lace bodice with long sleeves and a wine colored skirt. Approximately ISO friends and relatives attended a reception at the home of the bride's parents. The bride graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School in 1988; attended the Career Academy in 1970; currently attends BioSeptem Inst. Rt and works at Shern^n Hospital as a respiratory therapist. Her husband, a 1974 graduate iaf Elgin High School, is employed at * Sears Roebuck Co. as a service mechanic. It featured a fitted bodice with slit neckline and long, pointed sleeves. The lace skirt was enhanced by a peplum which flowed into a chapel train. Her headpiece was highlighted with a lace blusher on a beaded derby hat, accented with a fingertip length veil of tulle. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and baby's breath. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin R. Vyduna of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Goodwin of Longmont are the parents of the bridegroom. The Rev. Robert Link performed the 11 a.m. ceremony in the First United Methodist church, Loveland, Aug. 13. The church was decorated with candelabra, two altar bouquets and bows on the pews and windows. All of the organ music was ren dered by Harold Hamler. Prelude music included a duet, "Just You And I", sung by Mike and Sharon Spoon; and a solo, "Relatively Speaking", by Mike, who later sang "One Hand, One Heart" as the union candle was lit.
