OCTOBER 12,1983 Lincoln Cloverleafs to aid in recycling In keeping with the aim of 4-H clubs,"to improve head,'heart, hands and health," the Lincoln Cloverleafs 4-H Club of Johnsburc, led by Mrs. Sandy Freels, will be co-sponsoring the McHenry County Defender recycling drive Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The drive will be held in its temporary location in the parking lot of McHenry Community High School, West Campus, 4724 West Crystal Lake Road, McHenry. Free shots * V for seniors McHenry Hospital, >3516 W. Waukegafi Road, M c H e n r y , i s sponsoring influenza shots for senior citizens Monday, Oct. 17, in t h e h o s p i t a l cafeteria. Hie flu shots will be administered by the McHenry County Health Department of Nursing and will be given from 2 until 4 p.m. Participants must be 60 years of age or older to receive the free shots. According to Theresa Smith, chairman of recycling for her club, members have been collecting dans and other recyclable items for the past year. Their share of the proceeds from the sale of materials brought to the drive will go into their general operating fund/In addition, they consider lending a hand to the recycling effort a community service.
