These bills will provide new and improved services to handicapped persons capable of driving, and to those who must rely on family and friends for transportation," Edgar said. SENATE BILL 1270, which was signed and goes into effect Region Two distributes funding The following agencies have been awarded funds for 1984 through Region Two Area Agency on Aging for s e r v i c e s i n McHenry County, it has been announced by Charles D. Johnson, executive director of the agency. The McHenry County Senior Citizens' Council received funds for its social service programs. They include: $34,500 for Information and Referral, $25,221 for OUtreach, $18,909 f o r C a s e Management- Assessments, $ 7 3 , 8 4 6 f o r Congregate Meals, $24,417 for Home Delivered Meals and $15,000 for Transportation. The Prairie State Legal Services, Inc., (McHenry County) received $5,000 for legal programs. Region Two Area Agency on Aging is the planning and coordination agency for social and nutrition service provided to persons over 60 residing in McHenry County and seven other r„ northern , Illinois counties. Funds provided for this award are channeled from the administration on aging at the federal level to the Illinois Department on Aging and then to Region Two. The primary focus of the services provided is to enable older persons to remain independent for as lone a as possible ana to prevent institutionalization. Sales of Illinois hunting and fishing licenses were up in federal fiscal year 1982, resulting in a significant jump in revenues from license sales for the year, according to figures just released by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The increase may translate into more dollars for fish and wildlife conservation efforts, not only from revenues generated directly from the sale of licenses, but also from an anticipated increase in federal r e i m b u r s e m e n t s f o r conservation projects, according to Conservation Director David Kenny.
