OCTOBER It. 1983 general h yunuiai News tt *4 ^ Women's health issues" planned at Memorial hospital Learn doctor-patient view at Coronary club meeting Featured speakers will headline a comprehensive progream planned for four consecutive Wednesday evenings focusing on "Women's Health Issues," Mary Ganek, R.N. Director of Education at Memorial Hospital, said today. Lectures and discussions begin Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the hospital's Conference Center. There is a fee for the series of four programs and class size is limited to 40 people. Mrs. Ganek suggests registration by calling the hospital's Education Department at extension 321. (815) 338*2500, Program speakers will include Dr. William Larsen, Dr. Marciana Flores, a dietitian, a pharmacist, and Dr. Fern wolfinger Crane, counselor- consultant. Also featured will be June Girard, Woodstock, a member of the Illinois Commission on the Status of Women. Topics will include physiological concerns of women, diet and drug concerns, female sexuality, widowhood, divorce, aging and other special areas of interest. The McHenry , Heart Association is sponsoring a Coronary Club for any interested individuals who have had a heart attack or heart surgery, angina, hypertension or other heart problems. The meeting will be held Thursday evening Oct. 20,1983 at 7:30 p.m. at McHenry County College. A film will be shown followed by a discussion on "How to Help Your Doctor Help You". Support and education for persons with heart disease and for their families is the purpose $>f this group. They have requests for a hide*a-bed, one twin bed, a couch, and a refrigerator. Perhaps, because vegetable gardens are now through producing, there are increasing calls for food.
