She was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Wyoming, the daughter of Cecil and Ruby (Collins) Murdock. A native of Wyoming, Mrs. Dawdy later moved to Harvey and was a resident of the Lilymoor-Lakemoor area the past 12 years. > Surviving are her husband Robert, whom she married Aug. 13, 1959 in Laramie, WY; five children all at home: Sherida, * Shawnda, Patricia, Randall and Theodore; her mother Ruby, of Laramie; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Eileen) Perez of San Diego, CA and Dora Murdock of Burlingame, CA; and a brother, Richard (Sharon) Murdock of Torrington, WY. She was preceded in death by a son Maxwell, in Oc­ tober, 1982; her father Cecil, January, 1982; a brother Thomas Murdock, 1973; and her mother-in-law Alice Ontiveros, October, 1982. Visitation was held from 7:15 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home where ser­ vices were conducted at ioon Wednesday by the Rev. Thomas Lowery of the First United Methodist Church. Interment was in Woodland cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dawdy Children's Educational Fund. Harry James Symonds of McHenry died Sunday, Oct. 16, in the Maple Hill Nursing Home, Cuba Township, near Long Grove. Mr. Symonds had been a carpenter for the State of Illinois; was a Shriner with the Medinah Temple, Chicago; and a member of McHenry Lodge 158 AF&AM. Surviving are his wife Robert A: Wilke of McHenry died Thursday, Oct. 13 at his home. He was 78 years old, born in Chicago June 29, 1905, the son of Adolph and Agnes Wilke. Mr. > Wilke lived in McHenry about 20 years, and was formerly of Chicago- He was a retired salesman, having been employed by Glidden Paints 37 years. Surviving are his wife Alice C. (Freund) whom he married Nov. 27, 1931; a daughter, Mrs. James (Susan) Geisler of North Muskegon, MI; a daughter- in-law, Rita Wilke of Hulda T.; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel W. (Ann M.) Lowe; granddaughter, Mrs. Frank (Kimberly) Miley and William; and brothers, William (Genevieve) and Richard (Blanche). Funeral services and interment were private and arrangements were handled by Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Directors, Palatine, IL. WILKE Washington; seven grand­ children: Julie, Anne, An­ drew, Jamie, Robert, Alice Marie and James; and one sister, Helen Lamb of Chicago. He was preceded in death by a son James Thomas Wilke, May 24, 1977; and a sister, Lucille Blair. No visitation was scheduled and a Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic C h u r c h , J o h n s b u r g , Saturday, Oct. 15. Arrangements were handled by the Peter M. Justen & Son Funeral Home. Christina A. Waller, 94, of Woodstock, died Sunday, Oct. 16, at McHenry Hospital. She was born May 9,1889 in Hungary and was a resident of the Valley Hi Nursing Home the past 13 years. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Otis (Margaret) Hayden of San Diego, CA and Fred (Florence) Waller of Crystal Lake; grandchildren: Mrs. Clifford (Nancy) Mason of Wonder Lake; Mrs. Walter (Susan) Reid, Terry and Steve Hayden, all of San Diego; and five great­ grandchildren. He was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Buncombe County, N.C., to Boyde and Rachel (Gown) Norton. A resident of McHenry over seven years, formerly of Waukegan, Mr. Norton was a Chief Petty Officer 26 years with the U.S. Navy; served during WW II and the Korean Conflict; and wasr stationed at sea during the Cuban Crisis and Vietnam Era. Surviving are his wife Ruth Ann (Johnson) whom he married March 13,19.48 in Greenville, S.C.; six daughters: Mrs. David (Peggy) Harris of McHenry, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Ray of Ingleside, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Conley of Baxter, TN, Mrs. Victor (Joeretta) Mejia of Woodstock; Mrs. Bernardo (Patricia) Rodas of Highwood, IL and Doris Norton of McHenry; two . i » r NORTON sons: James C. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; his mother Rachel of Asheville, N.C.; and three brothers: Bille Eugene Lamb of Des Plaines, IL, Dennis Lamb of Waukegan, IL and George Lamb of Asheville; and two sisters: Evelyn Dodd and Aliceann Waldroup, both of Asheville. He was preceded in death by a daughter Doris Jeanette; his father Boyde Norton; and a step-father Homer Lamb. Visitation was held Monday after 4 p.m. in the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Roberson conducted funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of McHenry, with full njilitary honors at the time of burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials would be ap-- predated to the James C. Norton family. Lillian E. Feeney of McHenry died Saturday, Oct. 15, at McHenry Hospital. She was 83 years old, Dorn in Summitville, IN, Nov. 18, 1899, to Robert and Mary Paula (Reid) Wolfe. Mrs. Feeney lived in McHenry about five years, having come from Modesto, CA. Her husband James P. Feeney, Sr., preceded her in death in October 1964. She is survived by four children: James P. (Patricia) Feeney, Jr. of Agnes M. Freund of McHenry died Saturday, Oct. 15, at her home. She was 70 years old, born in McHenry July 5, 1913, the daughter of Mathius and Mary (Weingart) Steffes. Mrs. Freund lived in McHenry all her life and was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality of the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. Surviving are her husband Augustine M. "Gus" Freund, whom she married Sept. 12,1936 at St. Mary's; a son Alan M. (Janice) Freund WALLER She was preceded in death by her husband Stephan in 1958; and two sons, William in 1973 and Henry, 1967. Visitation was scheduled from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the George R. Justen k Son Funeral Home, with services at 7 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Raymond Shawl of SL John's Lutheran Church, Hebron. Interment will be at Chapel Hill South Cemetery in Worth, IL, Wednesday.
