Miller, has announced the latest figures which indicate that during the month of September, 120 persons died from injuries sustained from traffic accidents on Illinois streets and highways. Lee is seeking a trial by ury and Judge Roland errmann set Dec. 27 as the trial date. Lee, 31, 508 E. Kimball, Woodstock, was indicted Oct. 11 by the McHenry County Grand Jury on charges of murder and arson in con­ nection with the Aug. 15,1982, slaying of Feldt, 29, in the victinrs apartment at 521 Burbank Avenue. The defendant was arrested and charged Oct. 3 by Woodstock and Sheriff's police on information ob­ tained by State's Attorney Ted Floro. The two-count indictment returned by the grand jury charges that Lee "with intent to kill, stabbed Feldt with a knife, causing his death" and that Lee committed the of­ fense of arson by fire, charging that he damaged the Burbank Avenue residence, where the victim's body was discovered in the living room. Woodstock police were called to Feldt s apartment on Aug. 17 after co-workers became concerned when he had not reported for work for two days. A coroner's jury ruled that Feldt had been killed by multiple stab wounds and had been dead about 36 hours Erior to the discovery of his ody. Lee, father of two children, is represented by Woodstock lawyer Daniel Mengeling. State's Attorney Floro argued for the prosecution in court last week against a motion of the defense, which sought a court order prohibiting witnesses from disclosing confidential in­ formation. Judge Herrmann denied the motion. The court told Lee, who is being held in McHenry County Jail on $1 million bond, that a murder con­ viction carries a 20- to 40- year prison term which can be extended to 40- to 80-years and in some instances the death penalty. Judge Herrmann said an arson conviction carries a 6- to 15- y»ar prison term which also can be extended to a 15- to 30- .year sentence. The pudge indicated that the trial should be held before the end of this year when setting the Dec. 27 trial date. The state told the court that it will motion for a handwriting sample from Lee. That matter is expected to be argued in court next week. Jacobson is seeking village board approval to change the zoning from farming to R-3 for multi-family dwellings. The hitch is a group of irate citizens and an annexation agreement signed Oct. 5, 1978.
