Philip Wolf reported on the National Dairy Exposition held at Madison recently where he and his sister, Laurie Wolf, showed cattle. From the dairy exposition, 10 young people are selected to show tneir animals at the National Livestock Show in Louisville, Ky., and except for the fact that Laurie is too young, she would have been one of the 10 chosen. An entertaining part of the meeting came when Philip Gust brought one of his baby rabbits from the Opel Rex breed, and gave a talk to members on the care and handling of rabbits. The little bunny was well trained. All members are to collect cartoons at this time to bring to the November meeting, and these will be compiled in a joke book to be distributed to the nursing homes. Hopefully by next year we can have more complete booklets on the homes and farms. There were approximately 125 folks who attended to enjoy the program, exhibits and memoirs.
