The purpose is to help parents learn strategies to turn unhappy teenage ex periences into happy ones. The teen years may be dif ficult ones and today's challenges to parents of teens may be frustrating or even overwhelming at times. This seminar is designed to help parents of junior high and high school students find new insights into the 'why' of troubling behavior and negative s. Sounds just like expressing in words On Aug. 16 of this year came the sad news t;hat Lieut. John T. Boyle, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Boyle of McCullom Lake, was missing in action. On Nov. 2 his mother received word that he is again on duty in England. The exact circumstances of his being found an<l his experience of the past 11 weeks nave not been revealed but the mere fact that he is alive and safe is enough for his family and friends. Lieut. Boyle is one of four brothers now in service. Lieut. Everett is with the army signal corps; Ross serving with the navy and Da is with the army engineers. The three sons of Mr. and Mrs. William Meyers of Johnsburg are serving their country. William (Buddy), the eldest, is serving in the Hawaiian Islands; Elmer is now somewhere in Africa and LeRoy left for ser vice with his brother, Elmer, and they were together in Africa for some time. 25 YFARS AGO (Taken from the files of . Since nominating petitions must be filed 64 days prior to the special election, tne council moved to establish Nov. 30 as the last filing date. The election will be held Feb. 5.
