"Because both my children are enrolled in District 15,1 feel a need to become involved with their education and to do as much as possible to improve our school system." 2. "Obviously, money is the major concern in most school districts today, Also, I see a definite need for better working relationships between parents, teachers and the school administration." 3. "Federal and state school legislation must change to comply with the growing need for better schools. State and federal monies must be distributed more fairly to accommodate rising school costs. It is imperative that parents, teachers and administration work toegether to achieve this goal." 4. "Everyone agrees that our greatest natural resource is our children, therefore schools must be financed from all levels of government: local, state and federal. "After recently being appointed to the board, I have discovered that parental involvement in policy-making decisions has positive effects on district policies. The position requires much more time and continued updating than ever imagined, however, the tangible results are very rewarding and I hope t to continue being a part in a constructive way." 2. I would like to explore the idea of an offsetting increase in the state sales tax, which must then be targeted exclus ively for education along with an equal reduction in local real estate taxes. WILDEY RICHARD WILDEY Richard Wildey, a resident of Crystal Lake, is a senior environmental claim specialist with the Kemper Group. He and his wife, Carol Jean, have two daughters, Stephanie and Pamela. Wildey says he is a firm believer in fiscal soundness. He feels MCC has established a record of budgetary propriety which he would strive to perpetuate.
