POINT OF INTEREST: It has been said that the teachers of McHenry High School have a "callous dis regard for students" and a r e u s i n g t h e m a s "pawns" in negotiations. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT: A. THE TEACHERS WANT ALL DAYS MISSED MADE UP; B. THE BOARD HAS STATED TO THE TEACHERS THAT N0DAYSARET0BEMADE UP! POINT OF INTEREST! During "hard" economic times, the teachers have been asked to lower their requests for salary and benfits to help the com munity and school district. NOW we are told we are being offered a "fair and |ust" raise based on a "current"lower cost of liv ing index. At the public Board meet ing Tuesday, January 22, 1985, Board President Ned Neuman stated that the surplus fund in the district was $1,100,000. Is their position "FAIR and JUST"???
