"Heart Care" will be the topic of a health education program to be held at 6:30 pm. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Woodstock Day Care Center, Woodstock. "To Your Heart's Health" will be presented by Drs. Paul M. Christensen and Paul A. Maxwell, St. Anthony Hospital Medical Center staff physicians and members of the Rockford Cardiology Associates. St. Anthony Hospital dietitians Nan Olson and Janis McClary-Rice will take part also. The program, sponsored by the McHenry County Heart Association, is aimed at teaching students, fifth grade through high school, and their parents the fundamentals of heart care- It will emphasize food habits and lifestyle choices that will help youngsters reduce the chance of developing car diovascular disease during their lives. What is heart disease and related factors such as diet, smoking and exercise will be discussed. Dr. Christensen said the program is being produced, in part, in response to the public's growing interest in preventive health care. Dr. John Hill, McHenry County Heart Association president, initiated the program as "A basic step in introducing the care of the heart to kids." For more information about "To Your Heart's Health," contact the McHenry County Heart Association, Dr. John Hill at (815) 943-5151 or Donald Skinner at (815) 459-2823. : Getting high efficiency is simple.
