Trade Fair Supplement -- Feb. 27,1WS -- Page 9 Original idea of trade fair can be traced to Ann Zeller perhaps the most unique in dividual relating to Trade Fair is Ann Zeller, the supervisor of hostesses for Royal Welcome, Inc. It was through Ann's sugges tion, direction, perseverance and encouragement that Trade Fair was instituted and repeated. A 30-year resident of McHenry, Ann has been a member of the Chamber for 15 years and with Royal Welcome since 1967. Royal Welcome is one of the two greeting services that serve the McHenry area and suburban Chicago. She AMI Zeller began as a greeting hostess in McHenry, later evolving into sales and eventually becoming a super visor of hostesses for the organiza tion. She was a board member of the Chamber for three years, Trade Fair co-chairman for three years and has been on the Trade Fair committee every year since its in ception in 1972. The extensive history of the Trade Fair that ap pears elsewhere in this special section was compiled by Zeller through the various records available and many hours of inter viewing. As a mother of 10 children, she still found time to be the co-leader of a Cadet Girl Scout troop and a charter member. She is a member of the McHenry Business and Profes sional Womens' Club and, for the past six years, has served on the Dist. 156 parent advisory council. Zeller is a member of St. Patrick's parish and has served with the McHenry High School booster club for six years. Not only has she participated from the planning to the clean-up of the Trade Fair, but she has been on staff nearly every hour of every fair. She staffs the Chamber booth and has been responsible for the exhibit sponsored by Royal Welcome. Royal Welcome tradi tionally is a co-sponsor for one of the civic exhibits, most frequently the Girl Scout exhibit.
