Play Review "Morning's at Seven' last weekend at the Wi Opera House and continues through March 30. Crisp repartee in an ensemble effect by a talented cast holds a u d i e n c e e n t h u s i a s m throughout the two-hour show. Evidence that viewers relate to the typical family problems of any era is apparent from the delightful laughter that ac companies each turn of event. Their own hopes and aspirations are recalled by the audience as they follow life's problems as confronted by a stage family. From the spinster who ex citedly proclaims her right to a home, to the mousy sister who quietly attempts to prevent her son from marrying-the story moves quickly, revealing a ' spirit that catches up the audience in its appeal. Judith Irwin of McHenry, in her first, major role since a noteworthy theatre career in college, is excellent in the role of the older sister, Esther Crampton. David Crampton, who feels a superiority over his in-laws and shows it with his disdain, is played to the hilt by A1 Smith, also of McHenry. lids is family entertainment at its best. The viewer will cqpgratulate himself for making an excellent choice in en tertainment. Guest speakers from community make Jaycees better citizens Most people think of the McHenry area Jaycees as a group of young adults organized together to provide service projects for its community. But that's not the total story. For example, during the past 11 months the Jaycees invited guest speakers from nine dif ferent local community and governmental agencies to speak at monthly general membership meetings. The purpose of the program was to develop better- informed citizens, which will help the community in the long run. Some of the agencies represented were the McHenry Area Crime Stoppers, the McHenry County Conservation District, Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry Mayor Joseph Stanek, McHenry's Park Department and the McHenry County Board. If a person is better informed, he or she can make more in telligent decisions and become the leader the Jaycees attempt to develop. Anyone interested in learning more about the Jaycees (a l e a d e r s h i p t r a i n i n g organization) can write to the McHenry Area Jaycees, P.O. Box 163, McHenry, 60060 or call 385-1063.
