Involved with music his entire life, Craig has been performing since his early teens. Bom into a musical family, his father was a professional vocal instructor and also a ragtime banjo player. A constatnt on the Chicago musie scene since the late 60's, he has appeared with most of the premier folk artists that developed during that period, including Fred Holstein, Bonnie Koloc, Art Thieme, and the late Steve Goodman. Noted for his rich baritone voice, he performs a wide repertoire of material, en­ compassing traditional folk music, blues, country, rockabilly, as well as con­ temporary music. JIM CRAIG Exercise classes are set at MCC Classes for fun and fitness are being offered by McHenry County College's Community Education Department to begin in April and May. Dancing is a good source of exercise and MCC offers a selection of dance classes, in­ cluding ballroom dancing, western dancing, tap dancing and belly dancing. Roller skating classes are scheduled for all ages. There is also a class for those with handicaps and another for those age 55 and over. Three canoeing excursions will begin from Hickory Nut Grove in Cary and paddle into one of the most scenic places in the ^area, where geese, ducks, herons and other wildlife abound. One caneoing trip is open to anyone, another is for women, yet another is for those age 55 and over. At various locations throughout the area, aikido, dancercize, fitness and exercise classes are being held. Choose from aqua-aerobics, body building, weight training, golf, tennis, recreational basketball for adults, basketball for those of junior high age and lifesaving offerings. The schedule containing the Community Education classes, seminars and workshops, along with late-starting credit classes, has been mailed to area homes. Register in person at MCC. The registration office is located in Room 140 of the college's main hall building.
