Immediate activity is to sponsor a dairy promotion project with Vicki Reese, McHenry County Dairy Prin­ cess, at Aavang's in Woodstock on April 5-6. Also coming up is the search for a 1985 McHenry County Dairy Princess. Aspiring Princesses 17-24 years of age are asked to contact the Farm Bureau for exact requirements and an entry form. The can­ didates this year will be in­ terviewed by judges, then the selection announced prior to the annual Dairy Banquet on June 24. Ability to talk, knowledge of the dairy industry, living on a dairy farm- •or having lived on one-and availability to promote as a volunteer (as school and other duties permit) are among sought-for characteristics. The Dairy Promotion Council also voted to sponsor a Dairy Farm Open House this summer and to sponsor a poster contest in the fall for grade school children in the first to fifth grades.
