The teams were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the icy winds knocked the two seven-inning contests down to one five-inning game. Teuber closed the scoring when he dropped a two-run double into short centerfield making the count 8-0. Winning pitcher Jim Krausen gave up one run in the second on two walks, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly. For the day, Krausen walked five and struck out six in picking up the win.
