APRIL 26.19B3 Sports McHenry County keglers still rolling v.i JOHNSBURG - The McHenry County Bowling Tournament swung into its second week of action this past weekend, and com­ petition heated up the already-tight event, which is bein^ held at the Johnsburg In doubles, Phil Laum- backer and William Hladik of the King Pin in Fox River Grove took the lead with 1,353. Close behind is the duo of R. Pierce and K. Lange of Wayne's in Woodstock, who have accumulated 1,326. Rick Palmer and Rich Sharp of the Johnsbun Bowling Bowl have 1,324 pins, gooc for third place at the naif way point of the tour­ nament/ In singles, Crystal Bowl's Bill Wasilowski leads with 717. Harvard's Wes Wittmus is second with 710, while Johnsburg's Wilbur Haak is currently in third place at 097. The McHenry County team championship is be in decided at the Richmon Bowl. In first place after two weeks is Serv-All Die and Tool from Crystal Bowl,- with a score of 3,144. In other bowling results from around the courlty, the just-completed National Family Twosome, held >at McGarry's Bowl in Har­ vard, found two teams from Richmond taking top honors. The duo of Shelly Clapp and Pat Wright claimed first place in the major division, with a score of 1,242. Kevin and Leona Strelecki won the junior category with 1,236. The other champions were Michelle and Lorna Streit from Marengo in the prep division, 1,243. Johnsburg's Brian and Rosanne Toberman took fifth in the prep division, with a score of 1,143. Palace Bowl's Bill and George Milbratz were eighth in the same division, 1,029. Kristin and Suzan An­ derson of Johnsburg finished third in the junior category, with a score of 1,205. Johnsburg's Rob and Diane Miskovic were fourth (1,193) a and Jay and Joan Straulin of Palace were fifth (1,156) in . the junior category. In the major division, two local pairs fared well, as Bryan and Tom Anderson of Johnsburg were third with 1,158, and Mike and Bill Milbratz were right behind with 1,157. At the April meeting of the McHenry County Bowling Proprietors' Association, retiring president Ray Kuna was elected to a three-year term on the Illinois State Board of Directors, replacing Wayne Hahn of Woodstock, who has served in the position the last six years. Dale Wright of Richmond was elected president of the McHenry County BPA for the 1985-86 season.
