b* Continuous entertainment to be offered at 'Fair Diddley' Page 7 - PLAI!NDEALER-HERALD, WEDNESDAY. 15.1985 Entertainment will be one of the key elements of the 17th annual "Fair Diddley" scheduled for Sunday, May 19 from noon until 5 p.m. The fair, which will take place on the city square in Woodstock, will provide an Afternoon of continous entertainment with the talents of nearly 312 artists and craftsmen. The old fashioned gazebo-style bandstand located in the center of the square, will be alive with free entertainment throughout the afternoon. Entertainers scheduled to appear are: noon, The Backporch Jamboree, a blue-grass band from Crystal Lake; 1 p.m., Maureen Christine of McHenry, a variety singer; 2 p.m., The Lost Dutchman, a combination of blue-grass and country music; 3 p.m., The Ellen Jones Dancers, from Cary, and at 4 p.m., Friedlander and Hall, with their music which is a combination of swing, jazz, folk and blue-grass. For the children, on Dean Street, there will be a row of games with * prizes and a "Moonwalk" at the end of the street. This year a toddler carnival ride will be introduced, as well as a train ride. Bargains will be offered at the Mental Health Resource League booths, featuring toys, and children's clothes. There will also be food and refreshments available. They hope that every citizen will wear a poppy as a tribute to those who died or who continue to suffer the ills of war to keep America a' free nation.
