iijpon Pag* 14--Business Showcase '85 Frielander 8- Hall top entertainment bill WOODSTOCK - Entertainment for this year's Woodstock Busi­ ness Showcase is diverse and complete with local talent in mu­ sic, fitness and makeover demonstrations. Dipne Brandstrom, the enter­ tainment coordinator for Show­ case, said the entertainment is designed to have something of interest for all age groups. Start­ ing off Saturday, Aug. 17, at noon will be a puppet show performed by the Woodstock City Police De­ partment. Officer Friendly and her friends will entertain kids while relaying safety tips. The puppet show will be performed at 1 p.m. Sunday also. The staff from the Woodstock Gym and Slim will put on a fit­ ness demonstration both Satur­ day at l p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Bonnie Becker, of the Wood­ stock Gymnastics team, said both team level and recreation level youths will be demonstrating tumbling techniques as well as balance beam routines Parachutists will again drop in on the trade fair. They are scheduled to land SatWday afternoon, weather permitting. Saturday at 2 p.m. Woodstock High School drama instructor Tony Casalino and friends will entertain with songs from musi­ cals. Winning contestants from the McHenry County talent com­ petition will perform at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The Old Courthouse Inn is spon­ soring Frielander and Hall, a lo­ cally popular guitar duo known for performing original arrange­ ments of folk music and old stan­ dards. Ed Hall, who produces concerts for William Tell Produc­ tions, responsible for bringing acts such as John Prine to the Woodstock Opera House, is known for his slightly Overture. banshee version of the 1812 ~ Closing out the entertainment Saturday night will be an acous­ tic guitar performance by repre­ sentatives of the Woodstock Mu­ sic Store. Sunday's highlight, along with repeat performances of the pup­ pet show and the fitness demon­ stration, will be a combination hair styling and makeover dem­ onstration by the House of Hair Beauty Salon and representatives for Mary Kay Cosmetics.
