HEADS OF VILLAGES INSPECT ROAD WORK President Zipf reported to the Vil- lage Board this week the result of an investigation tour of township roads, with officials of other north shore villages. Highway Commissioner H. H. Sherer headed the expedition, point- ing out road improvements already completed or underway as well as prospective work on township high- ways. Necessary improvements to be undertaken as funds become avail- able were explained to the officials. Prospects indicate that within two 100 per cent road improvement, it was said. Commissiomer Sherer, as emphasiz- ed by President Zipf, is achieving 100 per cent results at 50 per cent of the former cost of road improve- ment in the face of greatly increased cost of materials and labor.
