7 =) NVITATIONS have been issued for the marriage of Miss d| Mary Eager Lloyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Eager Lloyd, and Theodore S. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. William sl Cox, to take place on Saturday evening, April 10. The serv- ices will be read by Rev. E. Ashley Gerhard, assisted by Rev. F. A. Budlong of St. Peter's church, Chicago, at 8:30 o'clock, at Christ church. Miss Lloyd will have as her attendants, her sister, Miss Catherine Lloyd, who will serve as maid of honor, and the Misses Meriel Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla., Priscilla McIlvaine, of Win- mnetka, Blanche Riordan of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Maude Hinman, of Winnetka, as bridesmaids. James Weart of Winnetka will serve Mr. Cox as best man. Following the ceremony there will be a reception at the Lloyd home in Hubbard Woods, after which the young couple will leave on an extended wedding trip. The Winnetka Woman's club is planning an afternoon of original poetry for Thursday afternoon, April 15, at 2:30 o'clock. Everyone who writes poetry whether free verse or otherwise, as well as those who call their poems "only rhymes or jingles" is in- vited by the Art and Literature committee to produce her especial variety for the club's Spring Poetry day. The plan is to have each contributor read her own contribution if she will, if not she may select someone to read it for her. Already quite a number of poems are written. Anyone wishing further information may call Mrs. Philip S. Post, chairman, Mrs. Jerome Frank, Mrs. John R. Fletcher, Mrs. Albert M. Kales, Mrs. Frank Rudolph. o All week long the Winnetka telephones have been ringing with pleasant invitations to join some friends' table at the Bridge party to be given at the Woman's club on Tuesday afternoon, April 6. The players are cheerfully filling the tables and many who do not play bridge are coming to the reading and those who cannot do either are sending in a dollar for the ticket just the same. Everyone wants to do her bit to make it possible for our Win- netka Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls to have their vacation camps this summer. It will be of interest to her friends in the village to learn that recently Mrs. Biery attended the meeting of the Federation of Woman's clubs of the State of California, held in Portersville, for the purpose of re porting it for the Portersville and Bakersfield news in California. Tiffany of New York, a member of the national executive committee for the Bryn Mawr edowment. The drive for $2,000,000 is being carried on by alumnae all over the country this week and next. Ayres Boal, 789 Sheridan road, left Thursday to join Mrs. Boal at Grand Cannon, Colorado, where they will spend a week before returning to Winnetka.
