r= WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 1922 SOCIAL ACTIVITIES - ITEMS OF PERSONAL MENTION | North Shore Yacht Club to Change Name; Inspect New Cruiser NEW thirty-six-foot raised cabin cruiser belonging to the Burger Boat company, was moored in Wilmette harbor last Friday for inspection of the members of the North Shore Yacht club. The boat is the last word in de- signing and visitors at the club enjoy- ed an inspection tour preceding the regular weekly dance. The club has recently been informed through the Secretary of State of II- linois that its name must be changed, as articles of incorporation cannot be granted where the name has been used on prier occasions. Club mem- bgrs are now offering suggestions for the new title. Memberships in the club are now all taken and a waiting list has been established, Lawrence D. Ely of Evanston is membership chairman. --A-- Mr. Charles Howells Coffin of Black- thorne road, has joined Mrs. Coffin and the children at Poconco Lake, Pennsyl- vania, and will escort them to Mason Hill Farm, Williamstown, Mass., where they will remain until the end of the month. Mr. Coffin will return to the Country Day school the first week in September, while Mrs. Coffin and the children will go on to Cape Cod to remain until the fifteenth, at which time they will return home. 'While they are in Williamstown Mr. Coffin will attend the Institute of Poli- tics at Williams College. Mrs. Coffin and the children, who left Winnetka | on June 15, have been the guests of her sister at her summer home on Poconco Lake. Rl The North Shore Vassar club meet- ing to sew for Petticoat Lane will be held on August 15 at the residence of Mrs. W. Dow Harvey, 960 Sheridan road, Hubbard Woods, and on August 22 at the residence of Mrs. Vernon C. David, 1624 Wesley avenue, Evanston, instead of as previously announced.
