Richards of the Winnetka Congregational church will open a se- ries of four conferences to be held in the Assembly room of Community House on the general subject of "Per- sonal Religion." The object of the course is two-fold --to train Christians = for personal work and to answer some of the cen- tral questions asked by persons con- templating church membership. On January 16 the discussion will be upon "Personal Work," its place in the religious life, worthy and un- worthy motives in attempting it, and methods of accomplishing it. On Jan- uary 23 the general subject will be the question Who belongs in the Church? This will of course require a discus- sion of the fundamental nature of the Christian life and its relation to creeds and to ethics. On January 30 the gen- eral theme will be the nature of the church and in particular just what sort of a church this is, and on Febuary 6 methods of uniting with the church will be discussed and an effort made to summarize the course. HEINSEN AND CLARK OPEN MORE OFFICES Heinsen and Clark, a «youthful but substantial real estate firm that sev- eral months ago opened an office in Winnetka, is branching out ambitious- ly, by establishing offices in Wilmette and Chicago. The Wilmette office of the new concern is at 421 Fourth street, in the midst of the justly cele- brated "real estate row." Paul Heinsen, who represents the Heinsen end of the firm, has been en- gaged in north shore real estate ac- tivity for some time. He was former- ly connected with M. E. Barker and company, and later associated with W. J. Moir at Winnetka, which busi- ness he took over some time ago. Lets all start SKOKIE YACHT CLUB PLANS SHIP PAGEANT The Skokie Yacht club, comprising boys of the Skokie school, held its an- nual party Friday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 o'clock at the Skokie school. The party started with a supper prepared in the Domestic laboratory and served by the girl guests of the club. After supper Director of Shopwork Kinney gave a short talk on "How the Skokie Club Can Be Most Helpful to the School," which was followed by a general discussion of the plang for the annual launching to be held the first week in June. This year it is planned to feature the launching of the fleet with a page- ant illustrating the historic develop- ment of water craft. A number of the boys are now working on models of historic ships, which will be used in the pageant, and, if it is found prac- ticable, every boy in the Winnetka schools will be given a chance to make and enter some type of boat. At the conclusion of the discussion the guests were presented with tiny souvenir boats which were used in solving a puzzle propounded by Mr. Kinney. Games were then played until the close of the party. The sewing room in which the par- ty was held was attractively decor- ated with yacht pennants and flags. John West, commodore, and Eames Marble, vice commodore, were in charge of the decorations.
