H. A. LORING ~ SPEAKS FEB. 14 Children To Hear Lecture on Indians {Harold A. Loring, assisted by 'a Sioux Indian in native costume, will be the center of attraction at Winnetka schools on Valentine's day, February 14. Mr. Loring was appointed by ex-president' Roosevelt to visit the Indian tribes and to record their mu- sic and legends for the United States. Twelve years was spent in the work. Fascinating accounts of Indian cus- toms and folklore and illustrations of their songs on the piano, will make up the greater part of Mr. Loring's program on February 14. The engagement of Mr. Loring and his Indian assistant is one of the steps of" the Winnetka school ad- 'ministration's policy of securing the very highest type of entertainment, that is also of educational value. On Thursday morning the first pro- gram will be given at the Greeley school: 'A somewhat longer 'and more varied entertainment will be given at the Skokie school at 11 o'clock. At 1 o'cloek Mr.-Loring and his assistant 'will go to the Horace Mann school land at 2:15 they will appear at the Hibbard Woods school. Special arrangement of classes will be made at all the schools so that all the pupils may have an oppurtun- ity of enjoying the entertainment. Adults may also attend the lectures, the one at Skokie being especially em- phasised because of the capacity of the auditorium. Tickets are being sold by the principals of the schools at a very nominal cost. IMPROVEMENT BODY IN ANNUAL MEET FEB. 19 Monday, February 19, will be the time of the annual meeting and election of of- ficers of the Village Improvement as- sociation. The meeting, to be held in Christ (Church Parish: House, Oak and Linden streets, beginning at 8 o'clock, will contain features of vital interest to every resident of the village. In addition to the annual election, there will be, reports of various committees on the accomplishments in the past twelve months, and important discussions rela- tive to plans for the future. The Village Improvement association 1s at present conducting a campaign to increase its membership. Frank D. Ful- ton is chairman of the campaign com- mittee, which has as its goal the enlist- ment of the active interest of every Cit- izen "in the forward-looking projects of this community-wide civic organization. Resume Morning Bible Class At Episcopal Parish House Thursday morning Bible classes con- ducted at the rector's study in Christ Chruch Parish House, will be resumed next week, according to announcement made by the Rev. E. Ashley Gerhard. The class which meets at 11 o'clock, will make a study of the life of Christ. These classes are resumed from last fall when they became so popular that many people not affiliated with the Epis- copal parish joined in the discussions. The classes are conducted by Rev.
