Layta Gerloff, and has danced under ti.is name with the Pavley-Oukrainsky Rus- sian ballet, appeared as soloist in "The Fantastic" which was produced in the Anna Morgan studios, and has recently completed a tour of the United States and Canada as the premiere danseuse of Simmon's "Poster Pirouettes." ----(-- The North Shore Catholic Woman's League acknowledges the prizes donated by the business men of Winnetka for the card party given at the home of Mrs. N. N. Henrich, in Winnetka, Monday evening, Lincoln's Birthday. The fol- owing merchants conrtibuted: John Dethloff, Duncan's Corifectionery, Eck- art's Hardware, Community Pharmacy, Sweet Shop, and the Wersted Motor Company. Lieber, Mr. Carl Roden, Dr. George Betts of Northwestern university and Mr. George B. Utley, president of the American Library association. --Q-- The marriage of Miss Mary Irma Hayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Law- rence J. Lieber, 468 Ridge avenue, will give an address on "The Changing World," at the Henry Booth House Woman's club this afternoon, at a joint meeting of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Congressional districts. Next Sa- turday, February 24, Mrs. Lieber will speak before the Matheon Club of Oak Park, on "Parliamentary Procedure and Effective speaking for Club Women." --Q-- The Foxdale Avenue Circle neld an all day meeting, Tuesday, at the home of Mrs. Oscar H. Millar, 861 Foxdale avenue. Fifteen smock dresses and bloomers were completed, to be sent to the Lake Bluff Orphanage to provide comfort for the little ones. Recently $52.00, donated by the members and their friends, was expended in the purchase of thirty sweaters for these children Lo Winnetka Iodge, No. 1078 A. F. and A. M. will give a reception and dance for its members and their families on Friday evening of next week, February 23, at the Winnetka Woman's club. The committee in charge of the affair, which is informal, includes Sherman Goble, William S. Kentnor and William F. Groene. --(-- Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Nichols of 428 Elder lane, announce the marriage of their daughter, Rose Virginia, to George H. Arnold of Hubbard Woods, on Saturday afternoon, February 10.
