Nct only the young people returning from distant cities but those who have been attending schools nearby, are anticipating a vacation crowded with a variety of festivities. Dinners ard dances are the most frequent events on the cal- \ endar of the coming seasor. On Friday evening, December 21, \ Mrs. George Parker will give a darce at her residence, 200 Linden avenue, for her daughter and her school friends. Mr. and Mrs. George Willetts of Chicago are giving a dinner- dance at their home for Miss Edwina Litsinger, and for Miss Carolyn Jane Everett, daughter of Judge and Mrs. C. Everett of Hubbard Woods. On Saturday evening, December 22, Mr. and Mrs. L. Harrison Mettler of Hubbard Woods will entertain at a dance for their daughter, Miss Barbara, at the Winnetka Woman's club. Mrs. John Stuart will be a dinner hostess that evening at her residence, 990 Sheridan road, preceding the Mettler dance.
