The quartet is one of the most| prominent musical organizations in Chicago and is in constant demand for renditions of exceptionally inter- esting programs. This year will mark its fourth appearance before Sunday Evening club audiences. George Dasch, well known leader of the Little Symphony orchestra-- which appears in concert each month under auspices of the New Trier Orchestral association, is one of the artists in the Philharmonic quartet. Another well known artist is Carl Brueckner, who also has appeared as soloist with the Little Symphony. Reader on Program Instead of having a local soloist in connection with this Sunday's concert, the Sunday Evening club executive committee has secured the services of Miss Rita Smith, a widely known reader, who will give a reading of "The Three Kings," which is espe- cially appropriate to the Christmas season. An unusually large audience is an- ticipated for this Christmas program. Two speakers attracted a capacity audience to the Sunday Evening club last week. They were Fred B. Smith, vice president of Johns-Manville, Inc., of New York, and state senator Thur- low G. Essington.
