An interesting program of original compositions and poetry was given by members of the branch. Ripley of Indian Hill road, is now quarantined with mumps. She expects to return to Bradford academy the latter part of next week. --Q-- Mr. Max K. Meyer of 829 Elm street, president of the Winnetka Trust and Savings bank, returned on Thursday from a cruise of the Gulf of Mexico, the Carribbean Seas, and the northern coast of South America. Mr. Meyer was away for several months. ------ Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Bailey who have been living in New York have returned to Chicago. They are living temporarily at the Library Plaza hotel until they decide definitely upon their place of residence. --Q-- Mrs. Heyliger A. DeWindt was hostess at seven tables of bridge at her home on Sheridan road on Fri- day evening, April 4, for her father, J. H. Arnold. The affair was given on the occasion of his birthday. --Q-- Miss Marion Fulton who was in Winnetka for ten days visiting her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Fulton, 884 Hill road, re- turned on Sunday to Penn Hall, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. --_--Q-- Mr. and Mrs. George E. King who lived at 872 Pine street, have sub-let their apartment and have moved to Minneapolis. Business arrangements have made this change necessary. --_--OQ-- Mr. and Mrs. John T. Boddie have returned from southern California and are at present in Washington, D. C. where their son, John, Jr. has been spending his spring vacation. --_--Q-- Winston and Victor FElting who spent their spring holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Elting of 830 Mt. Pleasant court, returned to Hotchkiss schoel on Monday. --_---- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Dennehy and family, who live in Chicago dur- ing the winter, are expected to move to their Hubbard Woods' home about May 1. --_--Q-- Mr. John McEwen of 808 Hill road, who has been quite ill, is now improv- ing. The Ash Street circle will meet at the home of Mrs. E, I. Belote, 1136 Oak street, on Tuesday, April 15. Mrs. R. C. Sewing for Infant Welfare is the work of the guild at the present time. --_--Q-- Mrs. Elmer Jackson and daughter, Elizabeth, have gone to Europe for the summer months. Wells and son, Mr. Douglas Wells, have returned to their home at 430 Essex road, after an absence of three months in Chicago. Mr. V. C. Spicer of Essex road, who is in the Presbyterian hospital, is re: cuperating from a serious operation. The Young Peoples Evening Bridge club met at the home of Miss Virginia Little, 516 Essex road, on Tuesday evening. --Q-- Miss Dorothy Lyons of Pontiac, Michigan, who is attending Ann Arbor, was the week-end guest of Mary Elizabeth Gaskell. --Q-- Mr. Hugh A.
