The officers for the 1926 season are Emory C. Andrews, prestdent; Marshall Forrest, vice-president; Francis A. Lackner, secretary; Harold Bennington, treasurer. George S. Parker is chair- man of the house committee. The fleet of small sailing boats will shortly be put into commission, and the sailing committee is now engaged in making a very attractive program for the coming summer which will in- clude inter-club races with the one- design boats belonging to the Chicago Yacht club and the Saddle and Cycle club. Altogether the Buccaneers are looking forward to a very successful and enjoyable season. The only material change in the club ship will be the screening in of the main deck. There are at least two advantages. It allows listeners an opportunity to digest the works which they have heard, and it permits of more rehearsing for the orchestra, chorus and soloists. If only for tue reason that the direc- tors have now more time to drill their forces, the concerts this season will likely to be on a higher plane than ever before. The schedule of per- formances under the direction of Mr. Lutkin or Mr. Stock will be as fol- lows: First concert, Monday, May 24, Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise and Hadley's "The New Earth." Young People's matinee with chil- ren's chorus of 1,500 and Sylvia Lent, violinist. Fifth concert, Monday, May 31. Brahms' German Requiem and choral numbers with Mabel Garrison and Boris Salawsky as soloists. Sixth concert, Tuesday, June 1. Or- chestra program with first per- formance of prize composition and vocal solos by Dusolina Giannini and Lawrence Tibbett. A program not scheduled in the regu- lar scheme of art, will be the public rehearsal which, given in the evening, May 29, will set forth the five com- peting works for orchestra from which the judges will select the prize work.
