November 6, 1926 WINNETKA TALK Community Center Unfolds Hallowe'en Thrills for 2,500 Were you among those 2,500 present in Community House Hallowe'en? If so you were one eye-witness to one of the most joy-giving times to young- sters the village has ever seen. Spooks, fortune tellers, Captain Kids, pirates and the surprising grab bag furnished many thrills, while motion pictures, sleight of hand performances, a Punch and Judy show, and chalk talk artists and others gave happy entertainment to a succession of audiences. The Gymnasium was the scene of many tests of skill and strength, which fur- nished fun and thrills to participants as well as to a large crowd of on- lookers. Everyone was treated to an ice cream cone and stick of candy before leaving the building, to say nothing of the apples given by the mighty pirates to those lucky enough to hit the wild monkey in the jungle. Many of the guests were in gay Hallowe'en cos- tumes. A prize was given to the boy and the girl having the best costume. The girls' prize was awarded to Mary Jane Stevenson, and the boys' to Arthur Henning. Community House was at- {the Field department of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, will U. S.
