March 5, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 19 Vaudeville Revue and Dance Is Plan - of O.E. S. Chapter Wilmette chapter, Order of Eastern Star, is to present at the Wilmette Masonic temple on March 15 and 16, a two-night all star vaudeville revue and dance for the benefit of the organ fund. Professional vaudeville acts of the very highest type have been en- gaged for this occasion, and Walter Ford's Shoreland hotel orchestra will play for the entertainment and the dance which will follow. In an effort to make this the most successful event of its kind, the Wil- mette chapter has arranged to have an entertainment of a calibre on a par with the biggest and best vaudeville show in Chicago's loop. The enter- tainment will be of a diversified char- acter and will be pleasing both to children and grownups. A comprehensive ticket selling cam- paign has been inaugurated and is be- ing carried on by the members. The executive committee in charge of this affair is composed of Mrs. J. Robert McClure, Mrs. Haro'd D. Skel- ton, Mrs. Earl Orner, Mrs. John H. Brumbaugh, Mrs. William T. Jones, Mrs. Joseph O. Converse, Mrs. Robert L. Young, Mrs. Axel Ahlstrand, Mrs. Joseph C. Wilson, Mrs. Emmett Yar- ian, Mrs. Fred Birr, Miss Gladys Carl- strom, Miss Lila Kirkpatrick, all of | Wilmette, and Mrs. Ida M. Lyons and Mrs. Harry C. Sanders of Winnetka. Mrs. Philip Wyatt Moore and her daughter, Harriet, of 1031 Fisher's lane, have been spending several weeks at Seven Dash ranch near Johnson, Ariz, where Mr. Moore recently joined them. They will return about the middle of March. Sorority to Have Benefit at New Evanston Theatre Northwestern university alumnae of the Delta Zeta sorority are giving a benefit performance at the New Ev- anston theatre Monday evening, March 7. The play given is to be that well known farce, "Turn to the Right" which had such a long run in one of the Chicago theaters a year or so ago. The proceeds are to help build and furnish the new Delta Zeta house which now is being erected with thir- teen other sorority houses on the Northwestern university campus. A list of the Wilmette patrons and patronesses follows: Dr. and Mrs. Lowell D. Snorf, Mr. and Mrs. Her- bert A. Morin, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Kraft, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Beem, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley M. Truska, Mr. and Mrs. Clark N. Hollister, Mr. and Mrs. John Tiplady, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hemb, and Mrs. Ford Jones. Tickets may be procured at the box office or from any of the Delta Zeta girls. NEXT SPEAKER AT COLLEGE Dr. John A. Clement of the school of education, University of Illinois, is to be the assembly speaker at the National Kindergarten and Elementary college on Thursday afternoon, March 10. Dr. Clement will discuss the work of colleges and universities in train- ing true American citizens. COMMITTEE TO MEET The next regular meeting of the North Shore committee of Johanna will be held March 10, at the home of Mrs. Hugo Hartmann, 755 Lincoln avenue, Winnetka, at 12:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. J. Williams Macy of 966 Hubbard lane announce the birth of a son, Francis Underhill, on Febru- ary 19, at the Evanston hospital.
