Play Virginia Hendrick of Kenilworth will play the hero, Tom, of "In the Rough," the musical comedy to be given at Northwestern university April 6, 8, 9, and 13, and Lucille Tatham of Winnetka has been cast for another man's part in the play. The Woman's Athletic association presents a production each year, and the selection of the cast, choruses, and specialty numbers is awaited with much interest. Alexander Dean is directing the production. A number of girls from the north shore will appear in the show. The play for this year is not written by students, but is a profes- sional book cut down and rewritten to appropriateness for a college produc- tion. The play is unusual in that men's parts are on the whole the best parts, and will call out that particular acting quality from girls who can take those parts. Mrs. E. J. Foster Hurt in Sheridan Road Auto Crash Mrs. E. J. Foster of 919 Linden ave- nue, Hubbard Woods, was removed to the Evanston hospital by Dr. Frederick Christopher, of 545 Lincoln avenue, Sunday evening, following an automo- bile accident at Sheridan road and Wil- low street in which Mrs. Foster suf- fered a fracture of the nose. The acci- dent occurred at 10:30, when a Dodge car driven by W. Kelly, of 131 Linden avenue, Glencoe, and in which Mrs. Foster was riding, collided with a Hup- mobile driven by J. V. Hirschner, of 4444 Tripp avenue, Chicago.
