Brigham of Glencoe, presi- dent of the North American Car Cor- poration, is returning from a business trip to London, on the Berengaria, having sailed from Cherbourg, France on May 7. While there he completed arrange- ments for financing the export sales of petroleum products from indepen dent refiners by the organization of two companies to act as media--one an English company, the other an American company. He has also further developed the contact with Burt, Boulton & Hay- wood, Ltd., an old established English import and export company, which has made considerable success in the plac- ing of cargoes made up from inde- pendent refiners handled through the North American Car Corporations ex- port terminals at New Orleans. A director of the English company, (he Earl of Dunmore, V. C, D. S. O., of London, visited Chicago in February, at which time negotiations were initi- ated.
