Mosquito War in Full Swing Says Woolhiser The mosquito abatement work in Winnetka is still going forward, H. I.. Woolhiser, Villager Manager an- nounces. This consists of oiling the ditches and all standing water within the village limits, and also in the In- dian Hill club district. The Mosquito Abatement committee, of which H. C. Phillips is chairman, has also started the work of oiling catch basins. Owing to the large amount of rainy weather, the Skokie area west of the village is a very prolific breeding place for mosquitoes, and the mosquito nui- sance cannot be eliminated, it is point- ed out, until the condition there is rem- edied. Efforts are being made by H. F. Tenney, village president and by the mosquito abatement committee to se- cure action on the part of the Sani- tary Drainage district in handling the mosquito abatement work west of the village limits.
