Tri-Ship Club The first meeting of the New Trier Tri-Ship club was held at the High school on Thursday night of last week. Over a hundred boys, nearly double the usual first attendance, were present and had as their guests a number of representatives of north shore men's clubs. The meeting was held primarily for the purpose of fostering a closer bond of fellowship between the boys and the men of the township and was de- clared to have been a decided success. Informal talks were given by Rev. Thomas A. Goodwin of Winnetka and Gale Brooks of the Wilmette Rotary club. Mr. Goodwin developed the theme of "Citizenship and the Observance of Law." In his talk he stressed the ob- servance of the spirit of the law rather than the mere letter of the law. Mr. Brooks compared the ideals of the Ro- tary club and those of the Tri-Ship club, pointing out the similarity of the principles of the two organizations. The musical program of the evening was furnished by an orchestra com- posed of student musicians.
