R. Harper's office at the Byron Stolp school. The Court of Honor committee consists of J. R. Har- per, chairman; Dan Skelton, secre- tary; H. J. Leach, J. G. Seyfried, Dr. W. W. Hawkins, Frank A. Wilson, Dr. Upson, A. L. Rice, and a repre- sentative from each troop committee of the nine Wilmette troops. This Court of Honor committee met last Wednesday evening at 6:30 p. m,, at the Central Cafeteria to talk over plans for the new year. This meeting will be followed by the first Board of Review this fall. Boys who successfully pass the Board of Review on Wednesday night will receive their advancement at the Court of Award to be held on Satur- day, October 15, in connection with Fun Rally in which all troops will participate. More Merit Badge Counsellors In order to pass a merit badge in one of the many merit badge subjects, the field ranging all the way {rom journalism to blacksmithing, a scout demonstrates in a conference with a man who has made a study of that // a national a 7 A TL field, his ability to qualify for the merit badge. Men who would like to serve as ex- aminers in any particular field are re- quested to notify the North Shore Service Station at 16 North Sheridan road, Highland Park. Honor Roosevelt A committee working on council- troop activities is planning a joint hike of all troops on Saturday, October. 29, which will be in the nature of a pil- grimage from Glencoe to the Cabin- in-the-Woods, two miles west. The ceremony will be in memory of the life of Theodore Roosevelt and will con- sist of a tree planting, a talk on Roose- velt, and other ceremonies. Plan Hammer and Nail Party The date has not vet been set for the Hammer and Nail party at the Cabin-in-the-Woods at which time the troop locker chests will be built. These lockers are of such a nature that two of them placed end to end covered with a mattress, form a very service- able bunk.
