Scott, prominent nortl shore funeral director, announced the opening this week of funeral parlors in Winnetka at 554 Center street, in addi- tion to those previously established in Wilmette and Evanston. Coming as it does, soon after the opening of his "Funeral Home" in Wilmette, the establisment of the parlors in Win- netka marks still another step in his program of service for the north shore Mr. Scott has been in the undertak- ing business on the north shore for more than 24 years, having affiliated himself with the late John IL. Later he left this firm and opened a business of his own in Wil mette and Evanston Mr. Scott comes from a family that has long been associated with the un dertaking business. Winnetka Contractors Get Awards in Glencoe Jobs Bids were opened and contracts awarded by the Beard of Local Im provements in Glencoe Tuesday eve ning, for the paving of Edgewood land from Greenwood avenue to Grove street, Glencoe, and FEuclid avenue from Scott avenue to the north limits of Winnetka, a distance of only a few feet. Paul Reschke of Winnetka, on his bid of $9,218, was awarded the con tract for the Edgewood lane paving. the only other bid received being that of the E. A. Meyer Construction com pany of Highland Park, for $9,304. Charles Burkitt and company, also of Winnetka, received the contract for the Euclid avenue paving, their bid being $583.90. Paul Reschke's bid for this work was $585 and the bid of the E. A. Meyers' Construction company was $626.60.
