Gilbert and their two youag sons have recently taken up their residence at 240 Lei- cester road, Kenilworth.- Mr. Gilbert is the son of Allen T. Gilbert deceased, who was a prominent member of the Chicago bar and resided in Wilmette. Mr. Gilbert has just returned from the reunion and convention of the Ameri can Legion which was held in Paris, France. He is the secretary of the Hamilton club of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Heater of 1086 Spruce street have gone to Ala- bama for a six weeks' visit. Birth Control Is Subject at Uptown Forum Session Rabbi Louis I. Mann, of Sinai Tem- ple will discuss the question "Is Birth Control a Blessing or Curse," at the meeting of the Uptown Forum, Sun- day night, December 4. Dr. Mann has won a place for him- self as a foremost leader in the moral and spiritual life of all Chicago and is noted for his courage and frankness in meeting squarely questions of vital public concern. On this occasion he may be expected to appear at his best. The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the People's church, 941 Lavrence avenue, at 8 P. M. Miss Jeanette Smith of 98 Robsart road, Kenilworth, entertained last Saturday evening in honor of Miss Hester Best of Ashland, Wis. Kenilworth Girl to Have Role in Play December 3 Marian Ortsiefen of Kenilworth, who is attending Northwestern university school of speach, has been selected as a member of the cast which will pre- sent the next Evanston Children's the- ater play, "The Make Believe Gentle- man," December 3 and 10. The play is an adaptation of Moliere's famous "Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme," which was first acted at the court of Louis XIV of France in 1760. The Evanston Children's theatre, which has gained national recognition as one of the leaders in the Children's theatre movement, is sponsored by Northwestern university school of speech. Miss Ortsiefen, a sophomore, was recently elected to the Thalian Dramatic society, which furnishes the actors for the Children's theatre pro- ductions. Miss Frances Etzbach and Miss Margaret Crocker returned to their homes in Winnetka for the Thanks- giving holidays.
